My name is Afewerki Habte, and I am proud to have served the DMV area as an auto mechanic for the past 30 years.

My journey embodies the American Dream. I immigrated to the United States in 1987 from Eritrea, where my passion for working on cars began. Upon arriving, I quickly resumed my career in auto mechanics, starting at independent shops and gaining invaluable experience.

In 1989, I transitioned to working at various dealerships, honing my skills and expanding my knowledge. This led to the establishment of AK Motors in 1994, where I began with just one lift at my current location.Through hard work and dedication, I achieved my dream of owning the entire shop in 1999.

Today, AK Motors continues to grow, and we invite you to be a part of our journey. We are committed to providing exceptional service and support to our community.
